GENERAL INFORMATION
Tel Aviv is a 24-hour city that never sleeps. It is a place
of culture, entertainment and commerce with wide beaches of golden sands,
exotic markets, world-renowned nightlife and exclusive shopping centres. Tel
Aviv is the largest city in Israel, located at the centre of the country by
the Mediterranean coast.
A truly cosmopolitan metropolis where new meets old amidst
contemporary architecture and ancient, intimate streets. Jaffa, an old suburb of the city, is a major
tourist attraction.
SHOPPING
Tel Aviv is famous for its fine shopping. including
swimwear. Head to Shenkin for young urban fashion or Kikar Hamedina for more
exclusive designer shops. Also there are a number of shopping malls throughout
the city. Carmel market is renowned for its fruit and vegetables, and nearby
you will find the local flea markets.
BEACHES
Tel Aviv offers miles of beautiful golden Mediterranean
beaches with a bustling promenade, blessed with sunny days most of the year
round.
FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT
Tel Aviv has an amazing selection of restaurants ranging
from Japanese to Oriental at affordable prices. Nightlife in the city goes on
all night, and there is a big choice of discos, clubs and bars catering for all
ages. It is also Israel’s cultural centre, with the Israeli Philharmonic
Orchestra, the New Israeli Opera, and various theatres.
MUSEUMS
Tel Aviv houses numerous museums ranging from archaeology,
history to sciences and includes the museum of the Jewish Diaspora. There are
also galleries for all tastes from contemporary to classical art.
TRANSFER FROM BEN AIRPORT
Taxi costs approximately £20 in total up to 7 passengers,
and it takes about 30 minutes to the centre of Tel Aviv depending on traffic.
